~You Call This Precision?!~

Forget that war is hell, forget that anger breeds anger, that fear breeds fear, forget that we must find forgiveness in our hearts, and forget that we must support our paid assassins, oh, excuse me, our troops, forget all of that, and you tell me the justification for 'collateral damage'. You tell me the justification for mutilating children with cluster bombs and bombing maternity hospitals.

Don't change the channel, don't stick your fingers in your ears and start singing the 'la la la' song, don't tune in to Fox News Channel to watch our men in khaki camouflage operating the latest US weapons, and tanks cruising through the exotic sandstorms. Don't flash back to playing with your G.I. Joe as a kid, and remembering how much fun you had. Don't picture Arnold Schwarzenegger blowing up the bad guys, picture parents grieving over the open graves that hold not one child, but two or three, heads and other body parts missing.

Stop and think about it. It's Spring here, and isn't it lovely, and oh, how the pollen is everywhere, but there aren't bombs blowing people up. No body parts flying through the air. No mutilated babies.

And fuck that we're doing this. There is NO justification for this. NONE. I don't care what you think Saddam Hussein has or does not have (the UN inspections were working), or what reports have come through on what he did to his people, there is no justification for the slaughter we are inflicting upon the people of that country right now. And when they seek revenge upon us, or when the purported hordes of suicide bombers start taking out our people, don't hate them. All you need to see is one photo of a father kneeling, mouth open in a howl of anguish over the open grave of his family, bloody, mutilated, and you can understand that we are unleashing a maelstrom of violence and gory death, and what happens to us in return may be as bad. We only have to wait to see.

Killing is wrong. This is not about self defense. Iraq did not attack us. We are not LIBERATING anyone, we are SLAUGHTERING the citizens of a country. For suspect reasons that no one can fully understand. Every day it's worse, READ the reports, spend half the time you spend looking at porn, or sending emails, or playing video games online, and read news reports. An excellent site is Antiwar.com. It has links to many articles and editorials (from very reputable online versions of foreign and American presses), even Peter Arnett's explanation of what happened to him, why he, a well-respected journalist, was just fired by NBC (for speaking the truth, which the American Television Media does not want reported). Read, please, even if it's just your local paper. Learn what's going on, it's not tanks, and soldiers standing in front of spectacular desert sunsets, machine guns in hand, it's DEATH. It's KILLING, and it's every day. Those bombs are NOT fireworks, people, they're mutilation, death, destruction.
