2001-10-07 / 3:30 p.m. ~The Inevitable Has Happened~ So why am I shaking? Didn't we know this would happen? How was I online earlier and missed it? How is it the way I found out was watching interviews on the fucking "red carpet" in the pre-Emmy show on E!? "In light of what's happened today....", what? What's happened? A switch to CNN and we did it, U.S. and British forces are attacking Afghanistan, not "terrorism", we are bombing another country. Bombs don't discriminate in their intended targets, they cannot see who is a soldier, who is a child, who is a shroud-covered woman. We are striking, we are terrorists, attacking terrorism, we are killing because we have been killed, we are an eye for an eye causing the whole world to be blinded. We cannot see due to our thirst for vengeance. We, this land of the free and home of the brave, are once again showing our might, fighting for what we think is right, we are killing, and we are not killing an idea, we are not killing a concept, we are killing innocent people. Do not listen to your government in its attempt to appease you, to assure you it is only military targets destroyed. Military targets may be bombed, but Kabul is small, and the innocents will be killed as well. The relatives of those who died 9/11 know what these people are going through, and I would ask them, Would it make you feel better to know that others will suffer as you are suffering? Will this be an end to your pain, to kill innocents in Afghanistan? We are not attacking terrorism, we are attacking Afghanistan, land of the poor, the unfree, but the bravest of all. How can we be doing this? Emergency protest downtown.....I've got to get ready to go. I'm still shaking, how could I think this wouldn't actually happen? What are we going to bring down upon ourselves now? What have we to fear now? Someone help us, and I would say "God", but there is no God, just lost human souls. Cost of the War in Iraq
